I can’t believe Musk is claiming he uncovered $100 billion in Social Security fraud—supposedly paid to people without a Social Security number or any other ID. Like… does he even know how Social Security works? Retirement benefits are based on what you’ve earned, so how would they even calculate payments without an SSN? And disability? That’s a whole other beast—an insanely long and complicated process. People I know have waited years to get approved, and guess what? You need a Social Security number. Even newborns get one.
I think many folks in the 47’s base don’t seem to understand how Social Security actually works. The best part? So many people are calling out Musk’s nonsense, and I’m here for it.
