Seeking Motivation

This week, I made a bold decision: I will dedicate at least an hour a day to physical improvements (also known as "exercise," a word I use loosely and with mild resentment). Theoretically, this should be simple. In reality, my motivation appears to be on an extended coffee break, and the part of my brain in charge of follow-through is off somewhere binge-watching TV instead.

Then, a lightbulb moment! Perhaps what I lack in motivation, I can make up for in sheer, stubborn accountability. If I tell my blog readers that I’m starting a fitness routine and promise to report back, then surely I’ll have to follow through—right? That’s the plan, anyway.

So, here it is, in writing: Tomorrow, I begin. Expect a full report next week. Unless I “accidentally” trip and fall into a pile of snacks instead. Stay tuned.
