Megan, Jeremy, Joe, and I attended a fundraiser in Buffalo this evening. The
fundraiser is to offset the cost of a community splashpad at a park in Buffalo in memory of a four-year old boy, Andrew. Diagnosed with brain cancer in the Spring of
2017, Andrew went “home to heaven” on July 6, 2018.
About two hundred people were present. It was out first night out at an event in Minnesota. Dueling Pianos provided the entertainment, they were amazing. While we did not stay for the entire show, I enjoyed singing along which they encouraged. It was interesting to people watch, one of my favorite pastimes. Socializing, laughter, and smiles all around us. People were sure having fun tonight!
Megan took a photo of Joe and me tonight.
I took a photo of Jeremy and Megan.
Big Bore in Hanover prepared the food. The menu was Ceasar
salad, pulled pork, pulled chicken, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, and
cookies and mini-bundt cakes. Joe and I drank water and a cup of coffee though
there was a cash bar available.
If you ever have the opportunity to see Dueling Pianos, I highly recommend
it! And if you want to donate to a good cause, a splash park for the children
of Buffalo to enjoy in honor of Andrew, here is the link: https://www.splashforandrew.org/donate/
