Friday is errand and grocery day. Costco gas was $2.60 per gallon, up from $2.53 per gallon on January 19th. Gas in Rockford and Buffalo is around $2.89 per gallon. We were able to get everything we needed for the week from Costco. Then we headed to Buffalo to go to order glass shelves for our dining room credenza and get the car washed.
We recently started a monthly self-serve car wash subscription.
For $33.00 per month, we get unlimited car washes. With the weather here we are
washing our car weekly. The normal self-serve
car wash is $18.00 with the underbody cleaned. In California we washed our car
about every six weeks. Our white car gets grimy by the end of the week.
We ended up stopping at Target today as I need a new hairbrush.
Over the past five years I have been losing increased amounts of hair. Research
revealed that natural bore bristles are often recommended for thinning hair and
that a detangler spray is recommended for thinning wet hair. My old brush is
going in the garbage! After I used the new brush there were four hairs in it as
opposed to the fifteen to twenty hairs in the old brush. I am excited to be
keeping more of my hair.
The last errand, before home, was the Rockford Library as Democracy
Awakening by Heather Cox Richardson was finally available. Joe and I are
looking forward to reading Heather’s book. It feels like Christmas. A new
hairbrush and Heather’s book available on the same day!
