Meet Marseille! I introduced her in yesterday’s blog.
Last night, we went to
dinner with Debbie and Steve at Greg’s Grill in Bend. The restaurant looks out on
the Deschutes River. We had window seating, great company, and terrific food
and wine. Then it was home to watch A Man Called Otto (it is now available to
rent on Amazon Prime). Debbie and Steve had seen the original Swedish version
(A Man Called Ove). I think I cried more watching it this second time.
We left Bend this morning at
7:30am and arrived in Woodland around 3:40pm. It had snowed Sunday and was
snowing when we left this morning. Along the way we encountered more snow, hail,
and rain. Chains were required from Weed to Redding except for all wheel drive
vehicles. Our Subaru Outback did a terrific job. I drove from Klamath Falls to Woodland,
so I got most of the ‘weather.’
Joe has the car unloaded,
we have laundry almost finished, ate a dinner of salad and ribs (okay, Joe had
beans, too!), our bags are unpacked and stuff put away. We are both ready to
call it a day.
