Today was one of those full, happy days. Early afternoon, I spent a couple of hours with Megan and Oliver—running an errand and grabbing lunch at a bar and grill. Always good company and good food.
This evening, Joe and I went out to dinner with Jeff and Todd. We decided to try Mill Creek Inn, just a short twenty-minute drive to nearby Buffalo. The restaurant sits close to Buffalo Lake, which made for a really nice setting.
The food was very good, and the ambience was just right—busy, but not loud. We could actually have a conversation without yelling across the table, which is always a plus.
The skies were hazy today, with the sun mostly hidden by smoke from the fires in Canada. The air quality wasn’t great, but otherwise it was a perfectly fine day.
Tomorrow morning, my brothers head back to Ohio. It’s been so nice having them here—we’ve really enjoyed their visit and are already looking forward to next year.
